  Welcome to OneWay Student Ministry

Welcome to Woodlawn Baptist Church Oneway Student Ministry. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) In a world with mixed messages, unclear truths, and moral depravity, it is our desire that Oneway StM be a place where students not only have a clear understanding of the Way (Jesus) but also learn to lead the way in their attitude, life, and love for Christ.

  Jesus is the Way!

STOP - and think about your life.  Is it what you thought it would be?  Yes, no, maybe?  Maybe you are disappointed or maybe you couldn't be happier.  Either way, God created you to know you and have a personal relationship with Him, but SIN stops us from knowing Him ("the wages of sin is death."  Romans 6:23)  However, nothing would stop the love of God from providing a way for us to be reconciled with Him.  "God demonstrates His love toward us in while we were yet sinners Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

Having a relationship with God is not based on church attendance, Bible knowledge, or right living, it is merely surrendering your will to His.  Are you ready to stop living for yourself and start living for Him.  "For God so loved the world that He sent His only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life."  John 3:16, "I have come that you may have life, and life abundantly." John 10:10

To begin a relationship with God through Christ, Admit that you have sinned, believe on Jesus, and Confess your decision to someone. "That if you confess Jesus is Lord...you will be saved."  Romans 10:9,10  What are you waiting for, don't allow anything to stop you from what God has created you for, a real and personal relationship with Him.  check out www.thekristo.com

  College Ministry

College Life I have noticed that most students are usually fired up about experiencing the College Life. Unfortunately, so many choose to experience things the world's way.  Jesus says in John 10:10, "I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full." We believe that college students can experience an awesome life with the power of Christ living through them.

  • WORSHIP - Worship is a vital part of our church family and an exciting experience of being in the presence of the Lord. We invite you to worship with us: Sundays at 8:00am or 10:45am, Sunday nights at 5:45pm.
  • GROW - We also provide opportunities for you to grow in your relationship with Christ and other believers. College Bible Study meets at 9:30am on Sunday mornings in the House.
  • SERVE - We have a place for you to serve in a variety of different ways, including preschool, children, student, greeters, and worship ministries. These are awesome ways for you to use your gifts for the Lord.
  • SHARE - As Matthew 28:19 says, “Go and make disciples of all nations…” We want you to SHARE your faith in Christ with others. Our desire is to equip everyone to share their faith and we provide an excellent training in this area with Evangelism Explosion (EE). This is a great tool to use in sharing the Gospel in a conversational way to those who may not know Christ as their Savior. EE classes are offered in the Fall and Spring both on our campus and on the LSU campus.

  Bible Study

Bible Study Groups - Every Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. enjoy a more intimate setting discussing God's Word in a group with same age peers. We are currently using KNOWN curriculum by LifeWay, which encourages students to Know God, Own Your Faith, and Make Him Known!
